Dendrobium officinale Kimura &Migo is a plant of the genus Dendrobium in the Orchidaceae family. Its stem is upright, cylindrical, 9-35 centimeters long, 2-4 millimeters thick, unbranched and multi-jointed. The leaves are in two rows, papery, oblong lanceolate, with the margins and midribs often pale purple. Racemose inflorescences often emerge from the upper part of the old stem where leaves have fallen, with 2 to 3 flowers. The bracts are dry membranous, light white, ovate, 5-7 mm long. The sepals and petals are yellowish green, nearly similar, oblong lanceolate. The lip is rectangular and white, with a green or yellow corpus callosum at the base and a purple circular spot in the center, ovate lanceolate, slightly shorter than the sepals, and folded in the middle. The stamens are yellowish-green, about 3 millimeters long, with one purple dot on each side of the tip, and the stamens are longer than the base of the stamens.
