Bacopa monnieri Extract
Bacopa monnieri (L.) Wettst. Is a plant of the genus Bacopa in the family Scrophulariaceae. Creeping herb, rooted at the joints, much fleshy, hairless, very portulaca. Leaves sessile, rectangular round oblanceolate, 8-20 mm long and 3-6 mm wide, apical blunt, rarely toothed. Flowers are solitary axils, pedicels 0.5-3.5 cm long, with a pair of striped bracteoles under the calyx. Capsule long ovate, apical sharply pointed, enclosed within persistent calyx, 4 clock-split. Seeds ellipse, one end truncated, yellowish brown, with longitudinal ribbed surface. Flowering from May to October.Widely distributed in the tropics of the world; In China, it is distributed in Taiwan, Fujian, Guangdong and Yunnan. It grows near water, wetlands and beaches.
